Choose a clutch kit

Dodson rates the Promax 10 for builds up to about 2,500 hp. That is Dodson's own rating. Clutch capacity is about torque, so ask your tuner which kit suits your build. Baskets, pistons and seals for the clutch packs are in the grid above.

The front axle is driven through a separate FWD transfer clutch. Dodson sells 9, 10 and 11 plate FWD packs and FWD upgrade combo kits for higher-power builds. Ask your tuner whether your build needs one.

Gears and gearsets
The Extreme Duty 1st gear and input shaft kit upgrades 1st gear and the input shaft. Mechanical circlips replace the OE circlips. Dodson's Heavy Duty and Extreme Duty gearsets have straight-cut 3rd and 4th gears, and Dodson recommends its Extreme Duty 1-6 gearset for builds above about 1,500 hp.

Oil pump, filters and service kits
Dodson's oil pump upgrade kit is a plate and gasket, and its repair kit is a shaft and shim. The GR6 service parts include a pan filter, a reusable mesh canister filter, a pan gasket and a valve body filter.
