RB26 timing belt: when to change it and what to replace

Change the RB26 timing belt on time and replace the parts around it.

When to change it

Ask your garage for the interval for your engine and use. Belts age too, so change an old belt even if the mileage is low. If there is no record of the last change, treat it as due.

Replace at the same time

  • Tensioner
  • Idler
  • Water pump

Uprated belts

  • NISMO reinforced belt 13028-RSR45: the same shape as the Nissan belt. NISMO rates it at 1.2 times the strength, 1.8 times the heat resistance, 3 times the cut resistance and 9 times the tooth-loss and abrasion resistance of the genuine belt.
  • Tomei belt 151051.

We list NISMO and NISMO Heritage parts, including the N1 water pump.
