Description
Part number 143018 is Tomei's Poncam Type B for the BNR34 Skyline GT-R: an RB26DETT intake and exhaust camshaft pair supplied as a one-car set. Intake and exhaust both run 260° duration with 9.15mm lift. The exhaust cam has more duration than Type A, and Tomei intends Type B for mid to large turbos, from N1 units up to full turbo kits, with a sports catalyser or straight pipe. Poncams are designed to drop in without changing the valve springs or adjusting the valve timing. Standard heads vary, so Tomei advises checking the clearance between the cam lobes and the cylinder head during fitting and machining relief if needed.
