Description
Tomei Poncam Type R, part number 143051, is an RB26DETT intake and exhaust camshaft pair for the BNR32 and BCNR33 Skyline GT-R, sold as a one-car set. Both cams have 250° duration and 9.15mm lift. Tomei developed Type R for cars that keep a standard or sports catalytic converter or a quieter exhaust, where back pressure is higher, and recommends it with standard to N1 turbos. Poncams are designed to drop in without changing the valve springs or adjusting the valve timing. Standard heads vary, so Tomei advises checking the clearance between the cam lobes and the cylinder head during fitting and machining relief if needed.
