Description
Tomei Poncam Type B, part number 143005, is a one-car set of intake and exhaust camshafts for the RB26DETT in the BNR32 and BCNR33 Skyline GT-R. Both cams have 260° duration and 9.15mm lift. Compared with Type A, the exhaust duration is longer, and Tomei aims this version at mid to large turbos, from N1 units up to full turbo kits, used with a sports catalyser or straight pipe. Poncams are designed to drop in without changing the valve springs or adjusting the valve timing. Standard heads vary, so Tomei advises checking the clearance between the cam lobes and the cylinder head during fitting and machining relief if needed.
