Description
Tomei's RB28 stroker kit, part number 252011, is the largest-bore version of the kit and is listed by Tomei for the RB26DETT only. It pairs 87.5mm forged pistons without valve recesses (piston crown volume -13.2cc) with a 77.7mm-stroke forged crankshaft, for about 2.80 litres (standard stroke is 73.7mm). The 20.0kg crank, SNCM439 connecting rods (119.5mm centres, 3/8-24 bolts) and pistons (21mm pins, 30.0mm compression height) are all forgings. The block needs boring to suit, and Tomei pairs this bore with its 88.0mm-bore head gaskets in its compression ratio table. Check all clearances during assembly. A version with matched conrod bearings is sold under a separate Tomei part number.
