Description
Part number 221029 is Tomei's RB28 stroker kit for the RB26DETT with 87.0mm valve-recessed forged pistons (piston crown volume -12.0cc) and a 77.7mm-stroke forged crankshaft, for about 2.77 litres. The 20.0kg crank, SNCM439 connecting rods (119.5mm centres, 3/8-24 bolts) and pistons (21mm pins, 30.0mm compression height) are all forgings. The valve recesses give extra valve-to-piston clearance for higher-lift camshafts. The block needs boring to suit the 87.0mm pistons, and Tomei pairs this bore with its 88.0mm-bore head gaskets in its compression ratio table. Check all clearances during assembly. A version with matched conrod bearings is sold under a separate Tomei part number.
