Description
Part number 252012 is Tomei's RB28 stroker kit for the RB26DETT with 86.2mm valve-recessed forged pistons (piston crown volume -12.0cc). The forged crankshaft raises the stroke from 73.7mm to 77.7mm, for about 2.72 litres. The 20.0kg crank, SNCM439 connecting rods (119.5mm centres, 3/8-24 bolts) and pistons (21mm pins, 30.0mm compression height) are all forgings. The valve recesses give extra valve-to-piston clearance, which suits builds with higher-lift camshafts. Tomei publishes reference compression ratios for 1.2mm, 1.5mm and 1.8mm head gaskets. Check all clearances during assembly. A version with matched conrod bearings is sold under a separate Tomei part number.
