Description
Tomei's RB28 stroker kit, part number 252010, turns the RB26DETT into an RB28 by lengthening the stroke from the standard 73.7mm to 77.7mm. This version has 86.2mm forged pistons without valve recesses (piston crown volume -13.2cc), giving about 2.72 litres. Every part of the kit is forged: the 20.0kg crankshaft, the SNCM439 connecting rods (119.5mm centres, 3/8-24 bolts) and the pistons (21mm pins, 30.0mm compression height). Tomei publishes reference compression ratios for 1.2mm, 1.5mm and 1.8mm head gaskets. Check all clearances during assembly. A version with matched conrod bearings is sold under a separate Tomei part number.
