RB26 single-turbo manifolds compared: cast, tubular, V-band and reverse rotation

Choose the turbo first, then the manifold that fits it. This guide compares the 6Boost, Artec and HKS single-turbo manifolds we list for the RB26.

Match three things to your turbo: the turbine flange (T3, T4 or V-band), the rotation and the wastegate.

6Boost makes RB26 manifolds with T3, T4 and V-band flanges. Artec's 70 mm V-band manifold suits Garrett G40 to G45 and Precision Next Gen 6870 to 7675 turbos.

A divided (twin-scroll) manifold needs a divided turbine housing. 6Boost's divided T3 and T4 versions take one 50 mm or two 40 mm wastegates.

Artec's RB V-band reverse-rotation manifold needs a reverse-rotation turbo, so order the turbo and manifold as a pair. Artec says it's designed for the standard R32, R33 and R34 chassis, with 44, 45 or 46 mm wastegate flanges.

• 6Boost: hand made in Australia with a merge collector. 6Boost says heat wrapping voids the warranty.
• HKS Special Setup Kit: a stainless T4 manifold with a 60 mm HKS wastegate. The turbo isn't included, and HKS says the intake piping may need changing.

Every single-turbo manifold here has an external wastegate flange. Artec makes an Inconel 625 stud kit, and Tomei makes a two-piece RB26DETT manifold gasket.

The Tomei full cast manifold and Artec's direct-replacement manifold replace the factory twin manifolds. Tomei says its full cast manifold is for closed-circuit use only.
